We may be experiencing phone and internet interruptions on Oct 16th and 17th. If our voicemail isn't working, please call back later or send us an email instead. We'll respond as soon as service is restored!
We number our strings starting from the top, so #1 is the highest and shortest string. Please make sure you are ordering strings for the correct model of harp, as they are not interchangeable and are not returnable if you order the wrong ones. If you have any questions, please give us a call!
Note: These are pedal gut strings, which are thicker than lever gut strings and are therefore higher in tension. The Boulevard is designed for these, but our other harp models are not! Putting pedal gut strings on a harp designed for lever gut could put the harp at risk and will void your warranty.
If you don't know what type of strings are on your harp, they are most likely nylon. Our harps were designed for and come standard with nylon strings, whereas gut is a special option.
Orders placed online are usually shipped by US Mail within 1 or 2 business days. If you have a deadline or would like us to look into expedited shipping options, please call and place your order over the phone. While overnight shipping is sometimes a possibility, the cost will likely be at least $50, even for a single string.
Shipping and handling costs can be found by adding strings to the shopping cart and entering your location.
Monofilament strings do not come with string anchors (splines or washers) included. If you're replacing a string, you can re-use the spline or washer from the broken string, or order our String Anchor Pack to have a stash of extras on hand. If tying the harper's knot is difficult for you, you might find String Buttons to be a lower-stress alternative to the traditional string anchors. Wound strings already have washers attached.
When stringing a Dusty Strings harp in gut, the gut strings make up the middle range of the harp, leaving some nylon strings at the very top and some nylon or wire wound strings at the bottom. A full gut string set contains enough strings to restring the entire harp, including the non-gut strings. A conversion gut set contains only the gut strings, and is intended for someone who wants to switch from nylon to gut, but doesn't want to replace all the strings on their harp.
