Stay tuned for a Camac lever kit coming soon!
You can be a self-sufficient harp technician! The Dusty Harp Maintenance Kit has everything you need to perform routine upkeep, keep your harp clean, and tackle minor annoyances like a buzzing string or loose lever.
Regulation is surprisingly straightforward, and simpler than people expect. When your levers start to sound out of tune when you flip them up, that's a sign that your harp is due for regulation. The custom-designed tool tips snap easily into the comfortable handle and allow you to adjust Dusty Strings' threaded bridge pins and Loveland lever screws. These are the same technicians' tools we use here in our workshop. The combination wrench can tighten or loosen the lever handles to your desired resistance. The step-by-step booklet guides you through the process of regulation, and also provides instructions for installing additional levers on a Dusty Strings harp with pre-drilled lever screw holes.
For string changes, there is a small stash of string anchors, nail clippers for trimming nylon strings, and combination pliers and wire snips for dealing with steel-core or bronze-core strings.
For dusting, there's a soft microfiber cloth for large areas and a brush for getting in between the pins and levers.
The whole kit fits in a small zippered pouch that can easily slip into the pocket of your harp case, empowering you to tackle anything your harp might need, no matter where you are!
If you don't need the full kit, basic versions of the tools as well as the instruction booklet are available separately.
Note: This kit is designed for Dusty Strings harps that have threaded hexagonal bridge pins, which were introduced around 2001. While much of the kit will be useful for older harps with round bridge pins, and there are instructions for adjusting them, the specific tools needed for doing regulation on round bridge pins are not included.
