Harpo Harp Cleaner

Bottle of harp cleaner and yellow wiping cloth

It's not uncommon for a well-loved and often-played harp to accumulate a build-up of dirt and grime in the areas where it's frequently handled. We've always considered those dark spots to be badges of honor, but once you've noticed them, they can be difficult to un-see! We are often asked for advice on cleaning harps without harming the finish, and we were excited to find out about this gentle and non-toxic cleaner, developed specifically for harps and other wooden musical instruments.

To use, spray Harpo onto the included soft cloth and gently rub the instrument surface. The grime will gradually wipe off, revealing the original clean and shiny finish underneath. Repeat applications may be needed for very well-loved harps. It's so satisfying to use that before you know it, you'll be using it on your eye glasses, touch screens, keyboards, switch plates, auto interiors, and anywhere else gunk accumulates.

  • 8 fluid ounces
  • Biodegradable and non-toxic
  • French lavender scent
  • Easy spray bottle with cap
  • Soft wiping cloth included

Harpo is gentle enough to work on oil-based finishes as well as harder materials like lacquer. Nevertheless, it's always a good idea to try it first on an inconspicuous area of your harp.

Note: Harpo is not as effective on areas of an instrument where the finish has worn away to bare wood. It may take off some of the dirt, but really cleaning up those areas requires sanding and refinishing. Harpo is not a disinfectant, but you can see our blog post on sanitizing harps for some ideas on that front.

Ingredients: water, vegetable oil-based surfactant mix, trisodium citrate, organic essential oils. Manufactured by Innovia, LLC.
