Quick and easy to set up and put away.
This meticulously crafted hardwood stand folds to the size of a two-by-four and sets up in seconds, locking open in a stable position. All points of contact with the instrument are cushioned by 3/8" nylon cord or rubber bumpers.
The sit-down stand holds the front of the instrument approximately 25" above the ground and fits in our C45, C300 and C500 cases. The stand-up version holds the instrument approximately 33" above the ground and fits in the C500 case only. Both sizes hold any Dusty Strings dulcimer gently and securely. While either stand will support the D600 or D650, we recommend the TriStander as a more secure platform for these large instruments, especially if you have dampers.
Stable support for your dulcimer with three telescoping legs.
This professional quality system is fully adjustable, extremely portable, and securely holds your dulcimer in any playing situation. Telescoping black aluminum legs (adjustable in length from 15" to 47") thread into three black-finished cast-aluminum brackets which can be screwed to the back of any hammered dulcimer.
Adjust the legs individually to change the tilt or level of the instrument and you are guaranteed a comfortable and secure stance, even on non-level surfaces. There are stories of creatively setting up half-on, half-off a too-small stage, thereby saving the day. Stuck playing on a hillside at that outdoor wedding? It's a breeze. We've even fit around a crowded campfire with one leg on a log and two legs in the sand. The TriStander will let you play almost anywhere.
Brackets project 1.75" from the back of the instrument. Our C45, C300, C500 & C600 cases accommodate a dulcimer with brackets attached, and the legs fit into the case's interior leg compartment. The system weighs approximately 3 lbs. and comes with screws and easy mounting instructions.
Adapted from the popular TriStander for a more horizontal position.
For those who want their dulcimer to be flat when they are playing, the FlatStander Support System is the answer. Based on the very popular TriStander system, it accommodates the growing number of performers who find it either more comfortable or more "showy" to have the dulcimer parallel to the floor. It can even be set to tilt the dulcimer slightly forward, which gives the audience a great view of the action.
The FlatStander system weighs approximately 3 lbs. and comes with screws and easy mounting instructions. If you are switching over from the TriStander, you can order just the FlatStander brackets, which can be installed using the same screw holes. The legs are the same for both systems.
Inexpensive and portable support for lap or table-top playing.
The most portable and inexpensive playing support for your instrument, these turned hardwood playing legs screw into a fitting built into the back of all our dulcimers.
The 28" leg allows you to play while sitting with the front of the dulcimer resting across your knees. The 5" leg raises the dulcimer to a good angle for easy tabletop playing.
